📍 Pin Gang — Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

Pin Gang collects and stores the following information:

• Account info: Email address and display name (when you create an account).
• Location data: GPS coordinates when you drop a pin. Location is only accessed when you actively interact with the map.
• Pin content: Category, notes, and timestamps of pins you create.
• Gang membership: Which gangs you belong to and your role.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Display your pins on the map for gang members to see.
• Manage gang membership and permissions.
• Deliver app functionality (activity feed, exports, search).

3. Data Storage

All data is stored securely in Supabase (hosted on AWS), protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies. Only gang members can see pins within their gang.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any third party. Your data is only visible to members of gangs you belong to.

5. Data Retention

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile tab.

6. Location Permissions

Pin Gang requests location permission to:

• Center the map on your current position.
• Record the GPS coordinates of pins you drop.

Location is never tracked in the background. It is only accessed when you actively use the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Pin Gang is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Your Rights

• Access your data via the app.
• Delete your account and all data from the Profile tab.
• Export your pins as KML files.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted within the app.
